To get a new genome assembly hosted by genome browsers such as UCSC or Ensembl, register your sequencing project at NCBI and deposit your sequence with their procedures. When it shows up in the NCBI FTP download directories we can consider it for admission to the genome browser. Please note, our focus here at UCSC is on vertebrate genomes.
