To get a new genome assembly hosted by genome browsers such as [http://genome.ucsc.edu/ UCSC] or [http://www.ensembl.org/ Ensembl], register your sequencing project at NCBI and deposit your sequence with their procedures. When it shows up in the [ftp://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genbank/genomes/Eukaryotes/ NCBI FTP] download directories we can consider it for admission to the genome browser. Please note, our focus here at UCSC is on vertebrate genomes.
