The initial wiki article text will include the description comments as seen in the details page.  Thus, if the item is found by browsing wiki pages, it will have some information about the gene being annotated.  Also, the wiki article will refer back to the genome browser via generic links referencing only the gene name and organism.  Therefore, the wiki article links should function even if the genome browser changes, assuming the same genes can be found in the newer assembly
